Iga Swiatek is the 2022 BNP Paribas Open champion and a four-time Grand Slam singles champion. Her 2023 season saw her successfully defend the French Open title at Roland-Garros and later capture the 2023 WTA Finals singles title without dropping a set, the first to do so since Serena Williams in 2012. She finished 2023 with the year-end No. 1 ranking and is the first Polish player to ever win a Major title.
