The BNP Paribas Open is the largest combined ATP World Tour Masters 1000 and WTA Premier Mandatory tennis event in the world. It is hosted annually at the Indian Wells Tennis Garden near Palm Springs in the city of Indian Wells, California.

The 32 seeded players (highest ranked players per the WTA or ATP World Tour ranking system) are placed on the draw: No. 1 is put on the first line, No. 2 on the last line and then the others in alternating order on pre-determined lines. Once the seeds are in place, the other players are drawn at random and placed on the empty lines starting at the top of the page and going down the draw until it is filled. The public is welcome on a free admission basis to watch the WTA Singles Draw on Monday, March 4 at 3:00pm and the ATP World Tour Singles Draw on Tuesday, March 5 at 3:00pm at the Stadium Plaza.

The next day’s schedule is determined by the tournament referee, WTA and ATP World Tour supervisors, broadcasters and the tournament director each late afternoon/evening. At approximately 7:00pm each evening, the schedule and match times are posted on the BNP Paribas Open website.
The 2019 BNP Paribas Open will be held March 9 – 22, 2020 at the Indian Wells Tennis Garden.
In the event of rain that results in the cancellation of scheduled matches during a session, we will attempt to accommodate the ticket holder with a Grounds Pass ticket for a subsequent session, based on availability.
