5 Things to Watch on Monday

by BNP Paribas Open
03/10/2019

1.

Incendio: Head to the Village Stage from 5:00-7:00pm for a performance from the acclaimed Los Angeles-based group Incendio. Incredible guitar performances from a variety of genres will having you rocking the night away in Tennis Paradise!

2.

Tennis Talk with Martina Navratilova: Come on out to the Village Stage and talk some tennis with legend Martina Navratilova! Widely regarded as one of the greatest women’s tennis players ever, the 18-time Grand Slam champion will discuss the hottest topics of the tournament alongside Tennis Channel’s Steve Weissman. Tennis Talk will take place following the completion of the first match on Stadium 2.

3.

Autograph Signing with Wang Qiang: Looking for some one-on-one time with a WTA star? World No. 18 Wang Qiang will be greeting fans and signing autographs at 4:00pm in Tennis Warehouse.

4.

Naomi Osaka vs Danielle Collins: Last year’s BNP Paribas Open champion and current world No. 1 Naomi Osaka is back in action on Stadium 1, as she takes on rising American star Danielle Collins. For the American, who burst onto the scene in January with a semifinal run at the Australian Open, her matchup with Osaka provides the opportunity to take her game (and newfound fame) to a new level. Can she cause the upset, or will the 2018 champ reign supreme?

5.

Novak Djokovic vs Philipp Kohlschreiber: World No. 1 and five-time BNP Paribas Open titlist Novak Djokovic will face off against the upset-minded Philipp Kohlschreiber in the final match of the evening session on Stadium 1. Can the German, who already captured one upset in Tennis Paradise with a second round victory over Nick Kyrgios, do it again against the 15-time Grand Slam singles champion?
