A. SABALENKA/E. Rodina

6-2, 6-0

THE MODERATOR: Questions.

Q. Can you walk us through that pretty quick match today on Stadium 2?

ARYNA SABALENKA: Yeah, it was tricky game, I would say. I didn’t expect her play that slow. I was struggling a little bit with adjusting for the balls, because it was super slow.

Yeah, anyway, super happy with this win. Happy to win this match in two sets without struggling too much (smiling).

Yeah, just super happy with the performance and a bit of support.

Q. I was out there and you got a lot of support. Crowd loves you. What do you think it is about you and your game that resonates with so many people?

ARYNA SABALENKA: I don’t know. I think they like to see my powerful game. I don’t know. Probably that’s why (smiling). Probably they just like me because I’m a nice person. I don’t know. I hope it both.

Q. Do you have any thoughts about next opponent next match?

ARYNA SABALENKA: Well, it’s going to be interesting match. She’s a great player, and it’s going to be a great battle. Yeah, I will prepare myself as good as I can, make sure I can bring my best tennis and show my best tennis and make sure that people will again enjoy watching me (smiling).

Q. Last time you played her was here in the third round. You won that in two sets. Do you remember that particular match at all?

ARYNA SABALENKA: Yeah, I remember that match, but, a little bit, some parts of that match. Feels like it was long time ago. But I remember it was tough battle.
