For a record-setting seventh year, the BNP Paribas Open has been voted the ATP Tour 1000 and WTA 1000 Tournament of the Year, as determined by player vote. The BNP Paribas Open, the largest WTA and ATP Tour combined two-week event in the world, has won the ATP and WTA Tournament of the Year honors each year since 2014.
After a two-and-a-half-year hiatus, the 2021 tournament saw the action return to the Indian Wells Tennis Garden for the first-ever fall edition of the event.
