In the spirit of the season, and as a part of our ongoing support of the National Junior Tennis & Learning Network (NJTL) of the Coachella Valley, we are raising money to donate tennis racquets to children. Those purchasing tickets to the 2018 BNP Paribas Open in the month of December will have the opportunity to add a $10 HEAD junior racquet donation to their purchase.
Your donation will help fund a HEAD tennis racquet for a child between the ages of 5-18, giving them the opportunity to learn to play tennis.
Racquet manufacturer and tournament partner, HEAD, will generously match donations up to 200 racquets for the NJTL of the Coachella Valley. It is our hope that the thousands of tennis lovers who attend our event each year will consider giving the gift of tennis to a child.
The NJTL of the Coachella Valley was founded in 1968 by tennis legends Charlie Pasarell, the late Arthur Ashe and Sheridan Snyder with the mission of promoting the positive attributes of sportsmanship, self-esteem and fitness to children ages 5-18. A registered non-profit, the Coachella Valley chapter of the NJTL provides programs that promote education and a healthy lifestyle by giving thousands of children the opportunity to learn and play the great sport of tennis. This nationwide program has grown to over 950 chapters and programs that serve approximately 275,000 children under the structure of the USTA (United States Tennis Association).
