Argentina’s Nadia Podoroska became the first qualifier to reach the semifinals at Roland-Garros when she did so in 2020, eventually earning her WTA Newcomer of the Year honors. The following year at Roland Garros, Podoroska reached the doubles semifinals.. Her 2023 season saw her reach the second round in three of the four Grand Slams.
