In order to provide a safe environment for fans and expedite entry into the venue, the Indian Wells Tennis Garden has instituted a Clear Bag Policy that will be in effect at the BNP Paribas Open. Fan safety and security is our top priority at the BNP Paribas Open, and the Clear Bag Policy will ensure that all patrons are able to enjoy their time at the Indian Wells Tennis Garden.
For a smooth entry into the Indian Wells Tennis Garden, fans are asked to review the following guidelines to ensure that their bags will be permitted into the venue:
Each fan may carry one bag that is clear plastic, vinyl, or EVA no larger than 12” by x 6” x 12” or a one-gallon clear plastic freezer bag (Ziploc bag or similar).
Bags that do not adhere to the guidelines above will not be allowed into the venue. This includes bags that exceed the size limits, as well as bags that are not clear or made of the proper materials.
Each ticket holder, including children, will be able to carry an approved clear bag and a clutch purse.
In addition to one of the clear bags noted above, fans may also carry in a small clutch purse no larger than 4.5″ x 6.5″, with or without a handle or strap, subject to search.
Small cameras, binoculars and cell phones are permitted if carried in a person’s pocket or an approved clear bag. Camera cases are not permitted.
Seat cushions without pockets, zippers or concealable areas must not exceed 18 inches wide.
Additional clothing, coats, jackets, sweaters, towels and blankets are permitted if carried loosely or in an approved clear bag.
Medical bags will be allowed but will be thoroughly searched.
Fans carrying non-approved bags will be turned away from the stadium before arriving at Access Control Points. Non-approved bags will not be allowed into the stadium and must be returned to a vehicle or disposed of at the gate.
No outside food & beverage is allowed into the Indian Wells Tennis Garden. However, the following items will be admitted:

Unless indicated for a specific event, there are no provisions to check or safeguard prohibited bags or items at the Indian Wells Tennis Garden. You will be asked to either (a) return prohibited items to your parked vehicle, (b) take the prohibited items offsite, or (c) dispose of prohibited items at the gate in an appropriate trash receptacle. The Indian Wells Tennis Garden and the event are not responsible for items left behind, lost, stolen, damaged or disposed of in accordance with the foregoing policy.
The staff at the Indian Wells Tennis Garden will make every effort to ensure a smooth and efficient entry into the venue for all guests.
