Ajla Tomljanovic made her Indian Wells debut in 2009. The Australian’s best display in the desert came in 2021, when she defeated No. 6 Gabrine Muguruza in the second round and advanced as far as the fourth round. She has finished in the quarterfinals of a Grand Slam three times, doing so twice at Wimbledon (2021, 2022) and once at the US Open (2022).
