Aryna Sabalenka is the reigning WTA Player of the Year as she put together a dominant 2024 season that saw her win her second and third career Grand Slam titles at the Australian and US Open. She also finished 2024 as the WTA year-end No. 1 for the first time in her career. Sabalenka’s best career singles performance at Indian Wells came when she finished runner-up in 2023. She also won the women’s doubles title in the desert partnering with Elise Mertens in 2019.
