Aryna Sabalenka is the reigning WTA Player of the Year as she put together a dominant 2024 season that saw her win her second and third career Grand Slam titles at the Australian and US Open. She also finished 2024 as the WTA year-end No. 1 for the first time in her career. She kicked off 2025 with her third consecutive Australian Open final, finishing as the runner up. Sabalenka’s best career singles performance at Indian Wells came when she finished runner-up in 2023. She also won the women’s doubles title in the desert partnering with Elise Mertens in 2019.
