In 2025, Juan Manuel Cerundolo earned his first Top 20 win over No. 19 Félix Auger-Aliassime to qualify and reach the main draw in Madrid, then reached his second ATP Tour final in Gstaad, highlighted by a win over two-time champion No. 13 Casper Ruud. He also returned to the Top 100 in May after reaching the quarterfinals in Santiago and winning Challenger titles in Córdoba and Santa Fe. He announced himself in 2021 by winning the title in Córdoba on his ATP main-draw debut as a qualifier, later climbing to a career-high No. 79 in January 2022.
