Brazil’s Beatriz Haddad Maia became the first Brazilian woman to reach the Top 10 of the WTA rankings after a breakthrough run to the 2023 Roland-Garros semifinal. Haddad Maia has also reached the Top 10 in doubles and was a finalist at the 2022 Australian Open. She owns career best results at Indian Wells of a fourth round appearance in singles (2021) and a runner-up finish in doubles (2023).
