Ben Shelton first broke through on Tour at the 2023 US Open, where he advanced to the semifinal in just his second year of competing professionally. Shelton also made a quarterfinal run at the 2023 Australian Open – the youngest American man to go that far in Melbourne since 1982. Before turning pro in June 2022, the Atlanta native played for the University of Florida, where he captured the 2022 NCAA men’s singles title and the 2021 NCAA men’s team title.
