In 2022, Botic van de Zandschulp achieved a new career-high ranking at No. 22, and ended the season as the No. 1 ranked Dutchman. At the 2021 US Open, van de Zandschulp reached the quarterfinal as a qualifier, becoming only the third man to do so in the Open Era. He notched one of his biggest career victories in 2024, upsetting World No. 3 and former champion Carlos Alcaraz at the 2024 US Open.
