Player Overview

Carlos Alcaraz comes into the BNP Paribas Open with a firm grip on World No. 1 after winning his first Australian Open title - and seventh major - to become the youngest man to complete the career Grand Slam. It was the 22-year-old’s 25th Tour-level title. The Spaniard became the youngest man in tournament history in 2023 to win the Indian Wells title, which he successfully defended the following year. In 2025, the Spaniard won two Grand Slam titles at Roland Garros and the US Open, defeating his rival Jannik Sinner in both championship matches. He finished Year-end No.1 for the second time in his career. The eight-time ATP Masters 1000 champion became the youngest men’s player and first teenager to reach the ATP World No. 1 in 2022 when he won his first major at the US Open. Alcaraz won a Tour-best 21 matches at ATP Masters 1000 level last year.
