Damir Dzumhur reached a career-high rank of No. 23 in 2018, the year he won his third and most recent titles in Antalya. He also triumphed in St. Petersburg and Moscow in 2017. After winning just 15 matches across five seasons from 2020-2024, Dzumhur made a revival last season when he won 21 matches. He reached the Bucharest and Umag semifinals and took a set from Carlos Alcaraz in the third round at Roland Garros. He is yet to pass the second round in four Indian Wells appearances.
