Former World No. 1 Daniil Medvedev turned around his form after the US Open last year and is once again knocking on the door of the Top 10. He began this season by winning Brisbane, his 22nd title in a 22nd different city. Medvedev won the 2021 US Open when he denied Novak Djokovic the calendar-year Grand Slam with a sublime performance in the final. He has been a Slam runner-up on five other occasions and is one of just six players to have won six or more different ATP Masters 1000 titles, alongside Novak Djokovic, Roger Federer, Andre Agassi, Andy Murray and Rafael Nadal. He boasts an impressive 20-8 career record in Indian Wells, where he finished runner-up to Carlos Alcaraz in 2023-24. Last year he reached the semi-finals before falling to Holger Rune.
