At just 24-years-old, Denis Shapovalov has been a star for Canadian tennis. In 2020, he became the first Canadian men’s singles quarterfinalist at the US Open. His first Grand Slam semifinals appearance came the following year at Wimbledon in exciting fashion, defeating two-time champion Andy Murray along the way. Shapovalov also upset No. 2 Rafael Nadal at 2017 Montreal in the quarterfinals, and is just one of three Canadian men to have been ranked in the ATP Top 10.
