Elena Rybakina is a former Indian Wells champion (2023) and one-time Grand Slam champion (2022 Wimbledon). Her 2023 title run in the desert included victories over the top two seeds, Iga Swiatek and Aryna Sabalenka, in the semifinal and final, respectively. The 2025 BNP Paribas Open will mark Rybakina’s fourth career appearance in Indian Wells after she was unable to compete in 2024 and defend her title due to illness.
