Elena Rybakina is a former Indian Wells champion (2023) and one‑time Grand Slam champion (2022 Wimbledon). Her 2023 title run in the desert included victories over the top two seeds, Iga Swiatek and Aryna Sabalenka, in the semifinal and final, respectively. Rybakina won her ninth career title in 2025 at the 500-level event in Strasbourg, and is set to make her fifth career appearance at Indian Wells in 2026.
