The 2025 season was a pivotal one for Emiliana Arango. She won her first WTA 125 title in February, then reached the first tour-level finals of her career at two WTA 500 events, falling to Americans Emma Navarro and Iva Jovic. All three finals came on Mexican soil, and all on hard courts, despite the Colombian favoring clay above any other surface. She also earned her first Grand Slam match win and climbed to a career-high ranking of No. 46. This will be her first main-draw appearance at Indian Wells.
