Player Overview

Former NCAA Division I Champion Emma Navarro (University of Virginia, 2021) won the 2024 WTA Most Improved Player award following a season that saw her reach a number of career milestones. After winning her first career WTA title at Hobart to start the year, she posted a career-best quarterfinal finish at Indian Wells followed by a quarterfinal run at Wimbledon and a semifinal run at the US Open. Because of this strong run of play, Navarro finished the 2024 with a career-high No. 8 ranking. She maintained her momentum to start off the 2025 season with another Grand Slam quarterfinal at the Australian Open, her best finish in Melbourne.
