After making her WTA Tour debut in June 2021, Great Britain’s Emma Radacanu went on to become the first qualifier in the Open Era to win a Major singles title, winning the 2021 US Open without dropping a set during the tournament. Raducanu entered the Top 10 for the first time in July 2022. Last year at Indian Wells in 2023, she had her best WTA 1000 performance, making it to the fourth round in her third career appearance at the BNP Paribas Open.
