Buenos Aires native Francisco Cerundolo played college tennis at the University of South Carolina. At the 2022 Miami Open, when he was ranked just No. 103, Cerundolo reached his first ATP Masters semifinal, launching him into a breakout 2023 season where he also made the fourth round at Roland-Garros and climbed to a career-best ranking of No. 19. 2025 will be Cerundolo’s third career main draw appearance at Indian Wells, having reached the third round in his previous two showings.
