A California native and one of the sport’s brightest young stars, 18-year-old Iva Jovic reached the second round on debut at Indian Wells last year, earning her first WTA 1000 win by defeating Julia Grabher before taking a set off Jasmine Paolini in a second-round loss. Since then, Jovic has won a first WTA title in Guadalajara, defeating Emiliana Arango in the final, and made her Top 20 debut after a breakthrough quarterfinal run at the 2026 Australian Open.
