Janice Tjen took the WTA by storm in 2025. At the US Open, she became the first Indonesian player to appear in a major since Angelique Widjaja in 2004. When she upset Veronika Kudermetova in the first round, she became the first Indonesian woman to win a Grand Slam match since Widjaja at Wimbledon in 2003. Tjen has stayed busy since, winning her first WTA singles title in Chennai and adding three doubles titles. Now inside the Top 50 for the first time, she will make her Indian Wells debut in 2026.
