2017 Roland-Garros champion Jelena Ostapenko makes her seventh appearance at Indian Wells following a 2023 campaign which saw her capture a singles title at Birmingham, England and make quarterfinal appearances in the Australian Open and US Open. A 10-year WTA experienced veteran, the Latvian’s best finish at the BNP Paribas Open comes from 2021 where she made it all the way to the semifinals. Ostapenko is enjoying a strong start to her 2024 campaign with two WTA 500 titles already under her belt.
