Canadian Leylah Fernandez’s best Indian Wells performances came in 2021 and 2022 when she reached the round of 16. She first made noise on Tour in 2021, when she reached the US Open final, defeating three of the Top 5 seeds along the way. In 2025, she secured her maiden 500-level title at the Washington Open. Fernandez has also seen success as a doubles player, reaching the final at 2023 Roland Garros, the 2023 Miami Open, and the 2024 Cincinnati Open.
