A third-round run at the Australian Open left Marin Cilic just one win shy of joining the exclusive 600-match-wins club. The Croatian veteran will make his 14th appearance at the BNP Paribas Open, where he reached the quarterfinals in 2016. The 37-year-old Cilic is the 2014 US Open champion and a former Australian Open and Wimbledon finalist. He has won 21 titles, most recently triumphing in Hangzhou in 2024. For 11 straight years between 2008 and 2018 the Croatian won at least one title each season, maxing out with four in 2014.
