Marta Kostyuk spent much of the early portion of her career fighting to stay inside the Top 50 before breaking through in 2024, reaching her first Grand Slam singles quarterfinal at the Australian Open, and following it with a semifinal run at Indian Wells, where she fell to eventual champion Iga Swiatek. She finished the year inside the Top 20 and has remained a steady presence in the Top 30 since. She opened 2026 by reaching her fourth career final in Brisbane.
