The 2018 Indian Wells champion Naomi Osaka returns to the desert in 2024 to make her sixth appearance at the BNP Paribas Open. The four-time Grand Slam champion (US Open 2018 and 2020, Australian Open 2019 and 2021) is the first Asian player to hold the World No. 1 ranking in singles and has seven career WTA singles titles to her name. Osaka’s 2018 win in the desert made her the youngest Indian Wells champion in over a decade and proved to be a breakthrough win as her first-ever professional title claimed on Tour.
