Nikola Mektic is a two-time BNP Paribas men’s doubles champion and the current defending champion, winning the tournament in 2024 alongside Wesley Koolhof. In 2021, Mektic was ranked World No. 1 after he won his maiden Grand Slam men’s doubles title at Wimbledon and won a men’s doubles gold medal representing Croatia at the 2021 Olympics. On top of his 31 men’s doubles titles, Mektic is a mixed doubles Grand Slam champion, winning the 2020 Australian Open alongside Barbora Krejcikova.
