Player Overview

In 2021, Paula Badosa (a.k.a. Aryna Sabalenka’s bestie) defeated Victoria Azarenka to win the BNP Paribas Open and claim her first WTA 1000 title, then backed it up with a semifinal run the following year. The former World No. 2 has proven to be a force – especially on serve – when healthy, reaching her first Grand Slam semifinal at the 2025 Australian Open and returning to the Top 10 before a back injury derailed her season and kept her out of the North American swing. She owns four career titles.
