A professional since 2002, Stan Wawrinka is a three-time Grand Slam champion and appeared in 50-straight Grand Slams before missing the 2017 US Open with two season-ending left knee surgeries. He is one of just three players to have defeated Novak Djokovic, Roger Federer, Andy Murray and Rafael Nadal at Grand Slams. His lone ATP Masters 1000 title came at 2014 Monte Carlo, when he defeated fellow Swiss countryman Federer. At the 2008 Beijing Olympics, he won the doubles gold medal with Federer. Wawrinka's best finish in Indian Wells came when he reached the final in 2017.
