Former World No. 3 Stefanos Tsitsipas is still searching for a deep run in the desert after just one quarterfinal showing (2021) in seven appearances. Hampered by a back injury in 2025, the highest-ranked Greek male tennis player of all time played just two Davis Cup matches after the US Open but started 2026 positively with a 3-0 record at the United Cup, including a victory over Taylor Fritz. Tsitsipas is a two-time Grand Slam finalist with runner-up finishes at 2021 Roland Garros and the 2023 Australian Open. He has won 12 ATP Tour titles, including the 2019 ATP Finals and three ATP Masters 1000 titles in Monte-Carlo.
