Tatjana Maria is a rarity on the WTA Tour. She’s one of a few players who sports a one-handed backhand, a change she only made after the birth of her daughter Charlotte. The 38-year-old’s career has been anything but conventional. Her lone run past the third round of a Grand Slam resulted in a Wimbledon semifinal in 2022. Three of her four career titles have come after age 34, including her biggest title at Queen’s Club in 2025, where she became the oldest WTA 500 champion by defeating Amanda Anisimova.
