The Southern California native achieved his best finish at a Grand Slam in 2024 with a run to the final at the 2024 US Open, where he lost to World No. 1 Jannik Sinner. Fritz then finished runner-up at the 2024 ATP Finals, boosting him to a career-high ranking of World No. 4 and the highest year-end ranking of any American man since James Blake in 2006.
