Australian Thanasi Kokkinakis achieved his career-best fourth round finish at Indian Wells in his tournament debut in 2015. Kokkinakis won his first Grand Slam doubles title in 2022 at the Australian Open with countryman and childhood friend Nick Kyrgios. Kokkinakis captured his first ATP Tour singles title the same year at Adelaide 2. Other notable achievements include beating world No. 1 Roger Federer in the 2018 Miami Open second round as a No. 175 rank qualifier, which made him the lowest-ranked player to defeat a World No. 1 since 2003.
