Tomas Machac recently broke out for his maiden ATP singles title at the 2025 Mexican Open. In 2024, he achieved a career high year-end ranking of No. 25 and notched a win in all four Grand Slams, going as far as the fourth round in the US Open. Machac had four wins over Top Ten opposition, including victories over No. 1 Novak Djokovic in Geneva and No. 2 Carlos Alcaraz in Shanghai. His victory over Alcaraz in Shanghai was the highlight of his semifinal run, marking his best finish at an ATP Masters 1000 event.
