American Tommy Paul had a breakout season in 2023, starting with a run to the Australian Open semifinal – the first American to go that far in Melbourne since Andy Roddick in 2009. Paul also reached a career-high No. 12 ranking in 2023 after an upset win over No. 1 Carlos Alcaraz en route to his first ATP Masters 1000 semifinal at 2023 Toronto. Paul has started 2024 on the right foot winning his second career ATP title at the Dallas Open in February.
