American Tommy Paul broke out in 2023 with an appearance at the Australian Open semifinal – the first American to go that far in Melbourne since Andy Roddick in 2009. He recorded a career-best semifinal finish at Indian Wells in 2024, claimed three ATP Tour titles (Dallas, Queen’s Club, Stockholm), and rose to his career-high ranking of No.12. Paul also won an Olympic medal for Team USA at the 2024 Paris Games, winning the men’s doubles bronze medal alongside Taylor Fritz.
