Varvara Gracheva knocked off Daria Kasatkina to reach the fourth round at Indian Wells in 2023, her best run at the tournament. It marked the second Top 10 win of her career at the time, both over Kastakina. Since then, she has added two more Top 10 victories, reached her first WTA final in Austin in 2023 and made her first Grand Slam fourth round at 2024 Roland Garros before peaking at World No. 39. Her first WTA 1000 quarterfinal, in Cincinnati, was the highlight of her 2025 season.
