Few players have reached the highs Veronika Kudermetova has achieved in singles and doubles. She cracked the Top 10 in singles for the first time in 2022, a season that included quarterfinal runs at Roland Garros, Indian Wells and Guadalajara. That same year, she excelled in doubles, winning the WTA Finals and the Italian Open and reaching the Australian Open semifinals. In 2025, she reunited with Elise Mertens to capture her first Grand Slam title at Wimbledon and another WTA Finals crown. Ironically, Mertens beat Kudermetova and Elena Rybakina in the 2021 BNP Paribas Open doubles final.
