Germany’s Yannick Hanfmann played college tennis at the University of Southern California, where he helped the Trojans win two NCAA national titles. He reached the men’s doubles semifinals at the 2024 Australian Open alongside countryman Dominik Koepfer. Hanfmann broke into the Top 50 in singles for the first time in his career in 2023 with a quarterfinals run at the 2023 ATP Masters 1000 in Rome, picking up two Top 10 wins over No. 9 Taylor Fritz and No. 6 Andrey Rublev along the way. He reached the second round of his BNP Paribas Open main draw debut in 2024.
