China’s Yue Yuan has enjoyed a successful start to her 2024 season. A semifinal finish at the Hobart International in January propelled her to a career-high No. 61 singles ranking. Her 2023 season saw her reach a first WTA final in the Hana Bank Korea Open in Seoul, as well as qualifying for the the main draw of the Australian Open for the first time. This 2024 BNP Paribas Open will be Yuan’s first time in the main draw at Indian Wells.
