Player Overview

In October 2022, Zhizhen Zhang became the first Chinese player in ATP rankings history to break into the Top 100. He continued to make history in 2023 when he became the first Chinese player to reach a Masters 1000 quarterfinal at 2023 Madrid. At Grand Slams, Zhang has also distinguished himself – in qualifying for 2021 Wimbledon and the 2022 US Open, he became the first Chinese man to compete in the main draw of those events in the Open Era. In 2024, Zhang reached the Australian Open men’s doubles semifinal, and won a mixed doubles silver medal at the 2024 Paris Olympics.
