Alejandro Davidovic Fokina’s best performance at Indian Wells came in 2022 when he reached the semifinals before he fell to eventual champion Taylor Fritz. He reached four finals in his breakout year last season, falling agonizingly short in Delray Beach, where he held two championship points against Miomir Kecmanovic and in Washington, where Alex de Minaur fought off three championship points. He surpassed 40 match wins in a season for the first time. In 2022, he defeated World No. 1 Novak Djokovic at the Monte Carlo Masters to reach his maiden ATP Tour final.
