Coming off a strong 2023 season, Alejandro Davidovich Fokina has seen increased success on Tour and against top-ranked opponents over the last few seasons. In 2021, the Spaniard advanced to his first Grand Slam quarterfinal at Roland-Garros, and his first ATP Masters 1000 quarterfinal at Monte Carlo. A year later, he defeated Djokovic at Monte Carlo again to reach his first ATP Tour final, and also advanced to the quarterfinal at Indian Wells in 2023.
