Alejandro Tabilo is one of very few players with a winning record against Novak Djokovic.The Chilean, who was born in Toronto, defeated Djokovic in straight sets en route to the Rome semi-finals in 2024 and repeated the straight-sets result a year later in Monte-Carlo. (Djokovic finally took his revenge late last year in Athens). Tabilo's standout season was in 2024 when he won 32 matches. His 2024 season began with an unlikely run to the Auckland title. The following month he reached the Santiago final and in April he reached the Bucharest semifinals before his big run in Rome. Showing versatility on grass, in 2024 Tabilo won his second title in Mallorca and reached the Wimbledon third round. Last year Tabilo saved two championship points to defeat Lorenzo Musetti to win his third title in Chengdu. Tabilo has made four appearances in Indian Wells, reaching the fourth round in 2023.
