In his BNP Paribas Open debut in 2023, Alex Molcan reached the third round for his best ATP Masters 1000 finish. He also ended 2021 and 2022 as the No. 1 Slovakian male player in the world, and finished at a year-end-best No. 50 ranking in 2022. He has won a main draw match at all four Grand Slams and has advanced to two Grand Slam third rounds – 2021 US Open (as a qualifier) and 2022 Wimbledon.
