Sebastian Baez enters Indian Wells following a seventh career title at the Rio Open, marking the second consecutive year that he has won the event. Mentored by fellow Argentine Juan Martin del Portro, Baez broke into the Top 300, 200 and 100 all in 2021, and notched his first Grand Slam main draw win at the 2022 Australian Open.
