In 2025, Ignacio Buse broke into the Top 200 in May and climbed to a then-career-high No. 133 in July after reaching his first ATP Tour semifinal in Gstaad, becoming the youngest Peruvian tour-level semifinalist since 1989. He also qualified for his first Grand Slam main draw at the US Open and won his first Challenger title in Heilbronn. Buse, who on February 16 was ranked No. 91, will hope to make his ATP Masters 1000 main-draw debut in Indian Wells.
