Chile’s Cristian Garin put together his best career Indian Wells performance at the 2023 BNP Paribas Open when he upset No. 3 Casper Ruud and advanced all the way to the fourth round as a qualifier. Garin holds five ATP singles titles and a year-end high No. 17 ranking (2021). His best Grand Slam performance came in 2022 at Wimbledon, when he reached the quarterfinals. He has also reached the quarterfinals of three ATP Masters 1000 tournaments.
